| Titulli: A BRIGHT PERSONALITY OF THE CHARACTER OF THE ALBANIAN FEMALE Tue Jul 11, 2017 1:08 am | |
| “A BRIGHT PERSONALITY OF THE CHARACTER OF THE ALBANIAN FEMALE, IN THE CONTRIBUTION OF THE SOCIAL AND INTELLECTUAL EMANCIPATION “ By NEXHMIJE HASANI, writer Speech (Delivered in Struga, on September 21, 2016, in the analytic presentation of the work “Literary Studies” by Dr. Bexhet Asani) INTRODUCTION To speak, or to look with the eye of the intellectual and researcher, the work "Literary Studies" by Dr. Bexhet Asani, one feels a special pleasure, which stems from the content, the thematic and diversified handling of this work. Adhering to the research literary work by Dr.Bexhet Asani and conceiving it as a scientific and social work, I picked out and specified to stop, among other things, to the major theme of the top brilliant character: "the Albanian Woman". I will begin this presentation-speech of the personality of the Albanian woman, with these two essential questions: "Is there in Albania, or in the Albanian Lands, Diaspora a full emancipation of Albanian woman? Is the feminine personality really an enlightener of the entire social life? " Certainly, everyone could stand unanimously and respond with affirmation, based on the developments of the century and the contribution made to the raise of appreciation of the active force of Albanian woman in all the fields. Yet, if we observe with a clear-out look the pointed tableau of the generations of Albanian women, of course, we would notice turbulent "sequences" in the nuances of life. Emancipation has been and is half-witted, mutilated, or at undesirable levels, despite the ongoing efforts to increase its stage, in the positive direction. My focus focuses on some of the Albanian "Female" contributors, who are handled and treated with logical and scientific reasoning in the work "Literary Studies".
1. THE BRIGHT FIGURE OF PARASHQEVI QIRJAZI, A MODEL OF ACTIVE CHARACTER OF ALBANIAN FEMALE. Concerning this focusing, let us focus and quote a "passage-quotation" by the author Parashevi Qiriazi, in her book, published in the year 1963, in Tirana, with a significant and bright title for the Albanian historiography: "Memories from the Congress of Manastir". "A day of light must dawn also for women, because the foundation of a Nation lies on the education of women. Ignorance is a weakness. The more ignorant we are, the less we can benefit from the powers bestowed by God. " Why did I pick out this fragment with a positive tendency, which I consider to be very significant and essential? First of all, because, here in our societies, the development and education of women has been very difficult. We have been ruled by a thorough and influential action, later by Turkish laws, where the woman was seen as an object of shame and body. Who dared, in those times of darkness, of the utter predominance of man's power and violence to break down those solid laws and strict rules? But, in the acting entirety, there were also eagle women who knew how to unfold values with their smart minds and wings. It was Antigona, Shota, but also Parashqevi Qiriazi, who enters the Renaissance Pantheon of Thought and Action, who, like other Renaissance activists, greatly appreciated the importance and weight of the education and culture of women whose purpose was to make man, a person with a stable, active character and a contributing role to the issue of social emancipation. Such a major goal, as it is asserted in the work of Dr. Bexhet Asani, makes us live with dignity and become useful to ourselves and to our nation. According to her (Parashqevi): "National education is the iron pillar of preserving the nation. The principle is that everyone who God brings into this world has the right to be educated." In her studies: "The development of schools in the Turkish Empire" are reflected the pedagogical views, where she represents an ideal education system for Albania, a meaningful, bright project for the time and progressivity which responds to the national needs of that time as well as the expected times, objectives and tendencies. Secondly, in the advancing and lightening context, the Project of Parashqevi was the second project after that of Sami Frashëri and, as the first project designed by an Albanian woman, with a sharp view for the time where this program took on a programmatic character, by being distinguished also by the high scientific, demonstrative and argumentative level. For that reason the scholar, Dr. Bexhet Asani, brings to us, with his scholarly point of view, Parashqevi alive, as a humanist and an illuminist. In this context, she occupies an honorary place in the Pantheon of prominent Albanian pedagogues in the field of education, culture and progress. Even though she was not allowed the right to vote at the historic Congress of Manastir, she, again attended, attending all the development sessions of the Congress, and later she worked devotedly for the "preparation" or "creation" of the ABC book in Albanian language.
I picked out from Dr. Bexhet Asani, from his book, "Literary Studies," this arguing and portraying paragraph: "Parashqevi was not just a prominent pedagogue, but she was also a great intellectual. She was characterized by courage, ingenuity, intelligence, and ... wisdom." Thus, a complex of high attributes and virtues such as wisdom, this high spiritual virtue of the intelligent man. Let's go back to the toiling question: "Is the female personality really illuminating?" Without wisdom, without patience, even the female’s ingenuity would be of no value. Nowadays the audiences of our schools, state offices, and halls of parliaments are filled with intelligence. But, we do not see wisdom, or humanism. How much value does it have for the people? It's painful. We want the female to be like Parashqevi, we want her to be like Mother Theresa, who, with her wisdom, became one of the connecting bridges of recognition, propagation of Albanians in the World and, with her recent peak of her sanctification, a major act which illuminates the personality of Albanian female in the World.
1. MOTHER THERESA, A SAINT AND A MYTH
Mother Teresa is a model, or a parable, as how should a woman be. It is a fortunate fact that an Albanian woman has been raised to such a great level, a female, a noble prize winner and a saintly woman, who makes us proud. Today, everywhere in the world, they refer to her model, so, in this regard, she is a High Pride of the Albanian Nation. Her dedicating life to the poor and the sick was one of the highest examples of our humanism. She dressed with virtue and covered the world with peace. As a missionary of universal charity, she served the suffering people in 450 centers around the world. A Great Geographical Distribution of Charity throughout the World! She was simple and she led a simple life. With her fragile "silhouette", with a white cotton coat, Mother Teresa became a symbol of goodness. In the year 1979, when he was awarded the Nobel Prize, in the “Voice of America” interview, she stated: "I was born in Skopje, educated in London, live in Calcutta and work for all the poor people in the world. My homeland is a small country named Albania.” What of golden words, what of a heart and what of a spirit! What Pride for this great Albania! And Albania remained silent, keeping away, this living legend. How much we have lost from her absence, but the present day has created conditions not only to take pride in her, but also to refer to this great model. By giving a key place to Mother Teresa in his work, "Literary Studies", gives this work illumination. And Dr. Bexhet Asani has accomplished this quite well and with a keen eye.
3. Bright sceneries of the work in a different point of view
The researcher Bexhet Asani, in his work, heartens you for the great presentation of Albanian woman. How beautifully and metamorphosed the author reveals the personality of journalist Zenepe Luka! Zenepe’s thoughts originate like the clear waters of the Shkumbin River, simply and clearly, naturally, both in synchrony and in diachrony. The symbol of the invincible Albanian woman in front of the calamities and a struggle for her rights and the rights of her own people. In the book of Dr. Asani, the poet Nikollë Ulndreaj, with his golden pen, gives, by revealing with sweetness the symbol of the beauty of Albanian woman. Who would not like to be a beautiful divine Tanusha? With his carving mastery workmanship, the poet is punctual in symbolic figures, in comparisons and figurative epithets: sylph, mountain faerie, sensible, courageous. Her entire being a perfection formed by the creator.
From north to south the poetry is interwoven with the beauty “magical” creature-gender who is called a woman. A woman, a girl, a mother of the streets of Gjirokastra. There Dr. Bexhet stopped to drink water on the fountain. He stopped at Thanas c****'s inn. There appeared to him the poetical and pictorial sylphs of the modern time: Flutura Maci, a painter and a poet, as a symbol of the souls in eternity, Majlinda Shabani, the author of courageous and prize winner poetry books, astonishing poetry: "Sculpture of Desire in Maneuvering Sky" and "Stylistics of Freedom", "translator of thousands of poets and poetesses in Albanian language, with anthological books: "Open Lane" 1, 2, 3; "Angels against Hate" and others, indeed a May flower of poetry. Basil and jasmine scent. Gjirokastra girls, as much hardworking as clever in the progressive and creative field. Bexhet Asani is touched, but is also rejoices by these beautiful qualities of the southern girls. We have a rich Albania, stretched out through natural space, with all its grandeur and inexhaustible beauty. It's the Balkans pearl. Beautiful creature made, with the mind and the hand of God. How can not you be amazed by the beauties of the city of Saranda? From the south to the north, in amazing waterfalls, in Valbona, in Theth, on the edge of Lake Ohrid, or here in beautiful Struga! Saranda, with its beauty, where the forty Saints sanctify.
For the first time since antiquity, 40 saints, the messengers of the Lord, came down there with a boat. When they saw the miracles of the land, they set up their abode on the top of Lëkursi. That is why it is called Saranda, the 40 messengers, missionaries of the Lord; it comes out of the legend and moves through legends. That is why the Monastery of Mesopotam majestically confesses, that it was built by the 40 saints. Such is all Albania. Such are all our Lands ... We are the Land of Saints. How beautifully are being described, with art, in the book, the research studies of Dr. Vinca. The use of all creative genres in the book is impressive. In the interview with the student Luiza Ziba, an impressive beauty of Pogradec, Little Paris, the Town of love affairs, the Town of great Lasgush, the typical representative of Albanian lyric poetry, becomes evident. The rare beauties of Ohrid Lake and the banks of Drini i Zi river, are inspiration for all the poets. There is no lake in the world to which more poetry and paintings have been dedicated than this divine lake. There Faik Konica and Lasgush Poradeci and many colossi of Albanian thought and poetry found their inspiration. Today, in these magical and inspiring places, the inspiration vibrates vividly within you, me and everyone. In every space a poem gains momentum. But there is also inexistence fabricated backwards: Ugly lands surrounded with wires. The private area languishes from the tables. The inspiration is murdered....! In this period of time, where the devil is ruling and they want to take our souls away, by enchaining and truncating them. We are a people rich in thought, a people with an ancient culture, and we must not allow anyone to dry our inspiration. All these I mentioned above, are also a source from the work, synchronizing with my opinion as a writer living in a country like England, having a wide array of knowledge and practices. Dr. Bexhet continues his gulliverian travel guliverian journey to Zhulat. Stunning landscapes. The stream of the ragged river and, at the entrance of the village, a white horse. Is this the horse of Troy and inside lies treachery? No, for sure. This is the "Horse of Pegasi", "The Horse of the Muse", "The Horse of Peace", the work of Pegasian sculptor Murat Këraj. "The village was beautiful, but lonely. The Lab song echoed and the mountain nightingales accompanied it”. Bexhet Asani does not stop his exploration, in all Albanian lands. A voice sounds within him, a beautiful ringing voice, which calls for patriotism. He is spatial and being proud of the beauties of his own country, he will distribute them as bright things, in all the geographical areas of His own Nation. Here's what the two Norwegian artists say: "In Kosovo we find the inspiration; the fields, the hillocks, ne lights and the color created by the atmosphere, all these are inspiration." I presented these to show the dimensionality of a work, to show the thinking and handling space of Dr. Bexhet, to represent the content also in the genre of poetics, journalism.
Conclusion In this work by Dr. Bexhet Asani, a combining, scientific, linguistic, historical work one finds inspiration, art, pain, love. Lively and dead characters. Prominent female referring characters. Bexhet Asani, this doctor of science, has a great opportunity to reveal his knowledge. He is a great soul of a man who will always reveal his own values, not keeping them within himself, but presenting them to the others with mastery. He is a great soul, who fires and seethes within for the light-knowledge of his own Nation. Tirana, September 2016
